This is my version of Cheers. They recently renovated this dive to include an entire outdoor area with a full service tiki bar, tables, stools, a protective awning, and you guessed it... FOOSBALL!

This is an excellent dive bar with outstanding bar food. I highly recommend getting the chicken philly with fries.

I'm a big fan of dive bars like Billy's.

Came by here after an impromptu meet-up with some classmates at the FIU North Campus (a good 10-15 minutes drive, maybe less).  We all drove there and it's pretty hidden... maybe because the entrance is in the back.  

We go inside and they've got some good beers on tap.  They had one of those new Sam Adams Noble Pill on draft.  It was delicious.  

But I have a vice when it comes to bars: Bar Food.  It's seriously one of my biggest weaknesses.  I absolutely love bar food.  With all my heart.  And I can only judge a bar by the quality of its food... because I can go to any bar for beer.  But if the service is good and the food is amazing... then that bar is up for keeps.

Billy's Food is actually pretty good.  I was surprised, to be honest.  Their menu is really small in comparison to the other bars I frequent.  It's a small menu but it's got the essential bar food (i.e. burgers, wings, fries).  Sometimes that's all you need.

Ate the Cheeseburger with Blue Cheese and Fries.  Uh fuckin delicious.  The french fries were pretty basic with kind of a spicy cajun seasoning.  Blue Cheeseburger was off da heez.  Buns were perfectly toasted and the blue cheese crumbles were bordering on melted and solid.  

People are pretty nice, too.  Jukebox is all types of ridic.

Love this place.  I just wish it was closer to home (Kendall).
